'The Day of the Trainee'

The Day of the Trainee

Ann in the sun!

Today, May 25, is Internship Day. A good time to introduce our graduate Anne and to put her in the spotlight! She is also the second graduate in the internship history of 4 Minutes!

Who is Anne?

Anne studies HRM, Human Resources Management, at Windesheim in Zwolle. She came into contact with 4 Minutes through her own network. ''The introductory meeting with Jasper (Recruitment Manager) and Arno (HR advisor) was super fun and together we came up with the idea to look at the existing processes and what could be improved. Based on their wishes, we came up with the Onboarding assignment.''

What does Anne do?

A few years ago we still worked from 1 location where we only had 5 office spaces. Today it is different! 4 Minutes has grown considerably in recent years and also in its own employees. With 45 intermediaries, we are spread over the Enschede branches, Losser, Hengelo, Goor and Almelo . The process of training new colleagues is now outdated and that is also the challenge for Anne. “At the moment there are too few formal onboarding processes and I can change that. It is not only at the end of my internship that I can hand in a report, but for 4 Minutes I can actually set up something good!''

Why 4 Minutes?

There are plenty of companies in Twente where you can graduate from the HRM study. What made the difference that Anne chose 4 Minutes? She was looking for something unique and let us excel in that! ''I wasn't specifically looking for anything, I just wanted something different than usual, a wide field with lots of room for ideas''

Anne has now been working with us for 4 months and of course we couldn't resist asking her what she thinks of 4 Minutes and her colleagues so far. ''I've done an internship before but that was different compared to 4 Minutes. Every colleague is ready to help you and I can also ask everyone my questions. This also made me feel at home quickly! I was really welcomed with open arms''

What if you had to describe it in a nutshell?

''Open, cozy, accessible. Always helpful to colleagues and temporary workers''

Next step?

Because we were so happy with Anne as an asset, it soon became clear that we would like to keep her after her studies.
Fortunately for us, she felt the same way, and she recently signed her (well-deserved) contract. After she graduates, she will therefore continue to work at 4 Minutes.
Congratulations on your contact Anne, we are very happy to have you as part of the ”4 Minutes family”.
