What is expected of you

As an experienced technician, you are responsible for solving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control technical malfunctions. You ensure that the production process runs smoothly by carrying out timely and adequate maintenance and repairs on the automated production and packaging line. You frequently collaborate with other departments and make improvement proposals to optimize production processes. Your tasks and activities include:

Locating, assessing and solving malfunctions in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control technology;
Carrying out (emergency) repairs;
Carrying out periodic inspections, (preventive) maintenance and repairs to machines and equipment;
Maintaining technical documentation and reporting findings to manager;
Assisting with installation of new equipment, maintenance and repairs by third parties;
Maintenance and malfunction registrations in maintenance management system (OBS) McMain.

What are we looking for

You are a real mechanic who prefers to tinker. You have several years of experience in technical services in a production environment. You are stress-resistant and work accurately and safely, including for food safety reasons. Craftsmanship and professionalism are of paramount importance to you. You don't mind working independently, but you also enjoy being part of a team. You preferably bring the following:

A completed training in technology, supplemented with subject-specific courses;
Knowledge of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding technology (TIG) and PLC controls;
Knowledge of food safety is a strong advantage;
Willingness to work on-call shifts and work on weekends several times a year;
Experience working in an OBS is an advantage;
Good control of the Dutch en English language.
